The SA Silverback Sub Duo is designed to work in conjunction with the SA Silverback Sub Solo subwoofer.
The Sub Duo is the perfect partner for the Sub Solo. The Duo is identical to the Solo, but without amplifiers, as these are already built into the Solo. This explains why the Duo is cheaper, but also why you just need to connect them to work perfectly together.
With its adaptive bass system and room correction, the Sub Solo is a cutting-edge subwoofer. The sound is controlled by a built-in DSP that drives the Vulcano 8 subwoofer to the deepest frequencies of your music or movies. This DSP also controls the Sub Duo. The Sub Solo reproduces the deepest audible frequencies. This means that upgrading does not require you to choose a larger subwoofer than you would with conventional technology. If the Sub Solo and Sub Duo (for example) are placed in opposite corners of the room, you will get the best possible performance, as placement in the corner causes the least sound reflection. The result is an unusual combination of punchy and deep sound. This is possible because the subwoofers feature room correction and are controlled by DSP. Corner placement is ideal because of minimal sound reflection and because room correction perfects the subwoofer's performance to a level that few have experienced before.
The subwoofers are configured in the SA Cockpit application, where you can adjust the volume, cutoff frequency, phase, distance from the listening position, and room correction.
